Remarks:
Dories have deep, compressed bodies, large eyes, and a large protrusible mouth. Bucklers (small spines) are present on dorsal and anal rays; pelvic fin spineless with 6-10 soft rays; spineless opercular bones; and small scales.
This family contains two genera, Zenopsis and Zeus, with about five species.
